Established in 1969, the Creative Arts Center in Chatham is a non-profit organization dedicated to the teaching and appreciation of the arts.
Now celebrating its 50th year, the Center will hold its annual Creative Arts Festival during the weekend of Aug. 16 through 18, at Chase Park in Chatham. This special weekend is a wildly popular, juried fine arts and crafts festival, which has become an annual “must-see” event for Cape Cod residents and visitors, alike.
With over 120 juried exhibitors from around the country, it is a wonderful opportunity to explore the world of fine arts and crafts. Artwork of all mediums can be found there, including pottery, glasswork, paintings, hand-made garments, and items crafted with gold, silver, metalwork, woodwork and gemstones. There will also be an opportunity to meet the artists!
Two large tents at the park will offer delicious food and fun children’s activities, including face painting. Food trucks and an ice cream van will be conveniently located in the center of the green to ensure your continued energy to keep exploring throughout the day.
You’ll find unique gifts and items for the home, gifts for giving, even something special for yourself! Admission is free, with a $3 suggested donation. A free shuttle bus will run from the Creative Arts Center and the community center, which will each be open to the public, and bring you directly to Chase Park. No need to worry about parking and walking.
Watch for the Center’s banners that are displayed along Main Street in Chatham two weeks prior to the event. Chase Park is a short walk off Main Street, with a free shuttle bus to bring you directly to the entrance of the Festival from the Parking lot at the Creative Arts Center and behind the Community Center on Route 28.
