Have Questions About Unused Diabetic Supplies? Teststripz has Answers

Teststripz.com is a one-of-a-kind Reverse Marketplace for people with diabetes. Reverse marketplaces evolved with the rise of the internet and ecommerce, due to a shift in the balance of power over supply-and-demand in favor of consumers. There is a consistent demand for diabetic supplies and they can become expensive. Fortunately, Teststripz now offers customers the ability to buy or sell unused diabetic supplies online.

Below, Teststripz provides its list of frequently asked questions to help you decide if buying or selling unused diabetic products is right for you.

Q: Is it legal to sell my supplies?
A: Yes. With some exceptions discussed further below, any product that can be purchased over-the-counter at a pharmacy can be legally sold, even if the product was originally filled by prescription. Furthermore, test strips and lancets are categorized by the FDA as “Durable Medical Equipment” which is far different from prescription drugs.

Q: What happens if I send products that are opened or expired?
A: You forfeit them. We pay for you to ship your items and will not send products back that do not meet our simple terms and conditions. They will be donated or destroyed.

Q: What happens if I send products that are damaged?
A: We pay half price for damaged products, as long as they’re not opened or expired. Refer to our damage guidelines for additional information.

Q: What do you do with the supplies you buy?
A: A minor portion get sold to small medical supply stores, but the majority of the supplies are sold directly to individuals. Many aren’t covered by insurance, and our rates are far more affordable than you’d find in a retail pharmacy.

Q: How can I be sure that I’ll be paid?
A: We’ve had an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau since 2013. You can find thousands of positive reviews from people just like you, on sites like Google, Trustpilot, SiteJabber, ShopperApproved and more.

Q: Do you price match?
A: No. Our prices are strictly based on market trends, and unlike many competitors, we resell direct to consumers.

Q: Do you have a Referral Program?
A: Not yet, but we’re working on it! Check back for updates.

Q: How will I be paid?
A: We offer two options for payment: Business check or PayPal. In order to use PayPal, you first need to set up a PayPal account at PayPal.com. Please note: PayPal charges a 2.9% fee to the seller. We have no control over this.

Q: Can my payment be rushed?
A: If you choose business check, you’ll have the option to upgrade to Priority or overnight mail for an additional fee. This fee will be automatically deducted from your order total.

Q: Do you accept “Mail Order” and “Not for Retail” products?
A: We can accept the following: Mail Order, Not for Retail Sale, Institutional Use, DME Beneficiaries, Point of Care, Health Plan/Contract. We can’t accept any box designated Medicare, Medicaid, or International, due to FDA regulations.

Q: Should I remove pharmacy labels?
A: No. Please allow us to do this to avoid damage. We remove and destroy all personal information before the boxes reach end buyer.

Q: What if I already removed the pharmacy labels?
A: Any damage left by the return labels will be considered damaged, and will be paid half our standard rate.

Q: Can I ship my supplies using my own shipping label?
A: Yes. If you can’t use the pre-paid Fedex label we provide, you can ship the items yourself using another carrier. We will reimburse you up to $10.00 for shipping, which will be added to your total payment.

Q: What if I want to buy products?
A: We can help! We resell supplies through various marketplaces, including Amazon, and we’ll be opening our own online store by the end of June 2019 where you can purchase supplies directly.
