Spring in Provincetown – A Perfect Time for a Perfect Getaway

It’s high time to think about where you want to spend your spring vacation! While you’re thinking, ask yourself this: Do I really want to waste my precious time waiting for flights and crammed into overcrowded planes this year? The answer is definitely not! This year, the choice is easy. The perfect place to visit is Provincetown.

Just a car ride or short boat trip away, the streets of Provincetown are starting to come alive once more in preparation for the new season. As the town transitions from winter’s activities to summer’s, spring may very well be the best time to visit! Businesses and shops are updating and refreshing their inventory, making ready for the new spring and summer seasons, and artists are hanging their work created in the winter season.

Provincetown offers something for everyone, from whale watches to road races. You can relax in one of the many beautiful inns or fill your days exploring the eclectic shops and art galleries. Spend the day visiting the National Seashore, or sit and enjoy a concert in the park. Peruse the yard sales, attend a show, or see the Pilgrim Monument. People-watch to your heart’s content!

Nature, herself, offers a variety of spring activities and outings. For bird lovers, the National Seashore Park is a mecca for birders and is a major resting stop for the semi-annual shore and seabird migrations along the East Coast flyway. Race Point Beach invites you to experience its biking trails, or walk its sandy stretch and watch the sun set. Whale watching season kicks off once more in the beginning of April. If you’ve never been, you can be sure that seeing those gentle giants rise and dive is something you’ll never forget.

The Provincetown Conservation Trust’s properties, which include Foss Woods, Whistle Path Woods, Fox Run and others, invite you to explore, enjoy and spend a day walking, biking, strolling and simply communing with nature. Form information on all of the properties, visit provincetownconservationtrust.org.

Whether you’re here for a weekend or a week, whether you prefer fun-filled days or quieter evenings, you’ll find there’s something amazing to do in Provincetown every single day. There’s no better place to spend your spring break, or to put the spring back in your step. Visit ptowntourism.com now and make your plans for a vacation to remember.
