YARMOUTH – Yarmouth Police report that on Saturday at 2:06 AM, Patrol Officers Matthew Mangano and Christopher Marino stopped a motor vehicle on Route 28 for erratic operation. The underage driver was identified as Ronika H. Patel, 18, of Burlington, MA reportedly admitted to drinking alcoholic beverages. Police report that Patel failed a series of Field Sobriety Tests and was placed under arrest on charges of Operating under the influence of liquor, Operating negligently to endanger and Marked lanes violation. Patel was transported to Yarmouth Police Department Headquarters.
After completing the booking process, she was released on personal recognizance and a $40 Bail Commissioner fee and was due in the Barnstable District Court Monday morning for arraignment.
