Updated: Accident damages three boats on Scranton Ave. in Falmouth

FALMOUTH – Falmouth Police report that early Friday morning a vehicle traveling south on Scranton Avenue left the road and struck a portable dock, which struck three boats, and then the vehicle hit a utility pole.

As a result, the operator, Austin Winbush was arrested for Using a Vehicle without Authority, Operating Under the Influence of Alcohol, Operating Under the Influence of Drugs (marijuana), Unlicensed Operation, Operating Negligently to Endanger, Speeding (50mph in a 35mph Zone), Mobile Phone Violation (Texting), Marked Lanes Violation, Possession of Marijuana Under 1oz Under Age 21, and Possession of Class E (Xanax).

Winbush injured his left hand, but refused medical treatment.

Scranton Avenue was closed in the area while Eversource replaced the pole.
