Accident involving utility pole closes Route 130, knocks out power in Sandwich

SANDWICH – Traffic on Route 130 in Sandwich was being impacted this morning after a truck struck a utility pole.

Sandwich Police said it happened on 130 near the Hess gas station and prompted that section of the road to be closed.

There were no initial reports on injuries or the cause of the crash.

Eversource was reporting 2,400 customers were  without power in Sandwich with another 200 in Mashpee.
