Active duty firefighter passes away in Bourne

BOURNE – Bourne Fire Chief Norman Sylvester regrets to report that active duty Firefighter Chad Cerulli died suddenly while off duty at home this past Thursday evening.

Firefighter Cerulli, age 40, was a 6-year veteran of the Bourne Fire/Rescue & Emergency Services. He leaves a wife and two children.

On behalf of all the men and women of the department and the community of Bourne, Chief Sylvester wishes to extend his heartfelt condolences to the Cerulli family during this extremely difficult time.

Arrangements are pending. As a veteran of the U.S. Army and Bourne Fire, Firefighter Cerulli will be buried with the appropriate honors at a date and time to be determined.
