Attic fire in Yarmouth may have been sparked by lightning strike

YARMOUTH – Firefighters were called to a house fire in Yarmouth sometime before 6 PM Thursday. Smoke was showing from the attic at 10 Margaret Joseph Road when crews arrived. The fire was quickly knocked down and no injuries were reported. Officials are investigating if a lightning strike was to blame for the fire. A wiring inspector was called to the scene. Dennis, Hyannis and Brewster FDs covered the Yarmouth stations.
