Bank robber nabbed after masked heist in Sandwich

SANDWICH – The Sandwich Police Department reports that at 10:23 a.m. Sandwich police officers responded to the Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod at 275 Cotuit Road for a report of a bank robbery where the suspect was wearing a mask.

While police units were responding, a witness was able to obtain a description of the suspect and the vehicle he was driving. Responding units located the vehicle on Route 130 heading north toward Route 6. Officers were able to stop the suspect vehicle and take Nathan A. Price, 35, of New Bedford, into custody without incident.

Price was charged with Armed Robbery while Masked, Operating to Endanger, Unlicensed Operation of Motor Vehicle Assault by means with a dangerous weapon, and warrant violation.

The robbery is under further investigation.
