Barnstable County Dive Team Conducts Monthly Training In Brewster
On Wednesday March 15, members of the Barnstable County Regional Dive Team conducted their monthly training at Sheep’s Pond in Brewster. During the drill session team divers exercised their collection of specialized dive and underwater communication equipment while practicing a variety of search patterns used during underwater search and rescue and recovery missions.
The calm waters of the extremely popular pond are ideal for the teams monthly training sessions in particular when new members are acclimating themselves to the teams equipment and operating guidelines. The regional team must be prepared to respond to incidents across Cape Cod during any type of weather and cold water training events such as this session ensures that high levels of efficiency, effectiveness, and safety are maintained and supported by each member of the team.
