Barnstable Fire responds to two marine rescues

BARNSTABLE – Barnstable Fire responded to the harbor sometime before 10 AM Tuesday after reports of a swimmer in distress. The victim was reportedly clinging to a buoy  in the mooring field until they were picked by by the Barnstable Fire Boat 219. The boat brought the victim to the Bliss Point dock were they were reportedly transported to Cape Cod Hospital for further evaluation.

Then just after 11 AM, a person reportedly capsized in a kayak. According to reports, a second kayaker assisted the victim who was brought to the Scudder Lane landing for evaluation.
