Barnstable Police investigate reported vicious dog attack in Marstons Mills

MARSTONS MILLS – Centerville-Osterville-Marstons Mills Fire (COMM) reports they received a call for an adult female that had sustained serious injuries from a dog bite.  Ambulance 326 and Car 321 responded along with Barnstable Police Department to a Waters Edge Road residence in Marstons Mills Saturday afternoon.  Based on the extent of her injuries, crews requested aeromedical transport for the patient. 

Ambulance 326 transported patient to the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Plymouth, where they were met by Boston Medflight helicopter that subsequently transported patient to Mass General Hospital in Boston.

Barnstable Police and animal control continue to investigate the incident.
