HYANNIS – A Barnstable police officer was treated and released after his cruiser was rear-ended, allegedly by a man driving a former Barnstable Police cruiser. Joshua Blitzer-Wardwell was taken into custody after reportedly hitting several vehicles along Ocean Street on Saturday. He will face charges of leaving the scene of property damage, operating to endanger and operating after his license was suspended.
