MASHPEE – Mashpee officials responded to a report of a boat capsizing in Waquoit Bay around 2:40 PM Friday. Mashpee Fire, Harbormaster boats responded to the call for help. According to reports a windsurfer rescued a 9-year-old and brought them to shore while the Harbormaster rescued the second person. Both were evaluated for possible hypothermia. Officials deplayed booms around the overturned vessel to contain any pollution.
