ORLEANS – On Friday November 29 several members of the newly formed Brewster/Orleans/Chatham/Harwich (BOCH) Community Emergency Response Team assisted Lower Cape Outreach Council volunteers at their facility in Orleans with unloading and sorting a large truck full of non-perishable food items donated by runners participating in the Chatham Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving Day.
While the primary mission of the CERT Team is to support local first responders and provide disaster response assistance within the participating communities team members also volunteer their time to assist at local community events and other specialized activities such as this.
