Bourne Police issue statement thanking voters for approving police station

The Bourne Police Department has issued a statement thanking residents in town for voting in favor of a new police station.

“We would like to thank the residents of Bourne for their overwhelming show of support for a new police building, both at Town Meeting and now at the voting booth.

With the passing of Question  1, the town will be able to move forward on design and construction of a new police facility.

Everyone at the Bourne Police Department is appreciative of the fact that it is never an easy decision when deciding how to spend your hard-earned money for municipal projects.

The Police Facility Building Committee, and all those involved in the project from this point on, will continue to be steadfast stewards of fiscal responsibility to ensure that the project is completed in a manner where the building will serve the community’s needs for many years, while constantly monitoring the bottom line of the project.”

Updates on the project will be posted here and at http://www.newbournepolicestation.org.
