BOURNE – Bournedale Road in Bourne was closed much of Sunday after a Bourne police officer discovered a car crashed into a utility pole. The driver somehow escaped the wreckage and downed wires and was nowhere to be found but was later located. The road was closed due to the downed wires while utility crews replaced the pole. Bourne Police are investigating the crash. Further details were not immediately available.
