BOURNE – A brush fire in the Bourne Scenic Park campground caused delays along the Scenic Highway (Route 6). The fire broke out around 2 p.m. One eastbound lane of the highway was closed while crews battled the fire. Sandwich Road along the Cape side of the Canal was an alternate route. HARWICH – A two-vehicle crash on Route 6 westbound past exit 11 brought westbound traffic at a standstill and eastbound traffic was also heavily backed up. The crash happened around 3:50 p.m. Two people were evaluated for minor injuries. State Police are investigating the crash. Harwich firefighters also checked two separate reports of possible brush fires along Route 6 near exit 10…
BOURNE – About 5 p.m., a car and motorcycle collied on the Scenic Highway (Route 6) by the Bourne Scenic Highway. The motorcyclist was taken to a local hospital for evaluation. State Police are investigating.
