SOUTH DENNIS – A vehicle struck a utility pole with three transformers on Main Street in South Dennis around 1:15 PM Wednesday. Officials say the impact caused a domino effect breaking a second pole and possible damaging some others. Main Street was closed between Highbank Road and Duck Pond Road. No injuries were reported to the driver of the Honda Accord. 600 Eversource customers lost power because of this incident. Utility crews were able to reduce that amount to 266 but repairs were expected to take well into the evening to complete in order for all power to be restored. The collision is under investigation by Dennis Police.
