Video: Divers called after car goes into water in Bourne



BOURNE – Divers were called to respond to Barlow’s Landing Beach in Bourne after a vehicle ended up in the water sometime before 11:30 PM Monday. According to reports, police officers were able to rescue one person from the car. The divers checked for any other possible occupants of the vehicle but did not find anyone else.

Bourne Fire reports that Monday night at 11:30 PM, crews were dispatched to a car in the water, off of the Barlows Boat ramp. Within minutes of arriving, they were able to have 3 firefighters in the water and rescued 1 occupant who was transported to a local hospital without serious injuries.

Dive team members from multiple neighboring town departments, and even as far as Dennis Fire, responded and were able to confirm no other occupants in the vehicle, all parties safe.
