HYANNIS – Firefighters had to extricate a driver after the vehicle they were in went off the road and rolled on its side in Hyannis just before 8 AM. The crash happened on Iyannough Road (Route 28) by the Gol Supermarket. According to reports, the Mercedes work van struck a curb and sign before rolling over. The driver was conscious and did not appear to be seriously injured. Traffic delays were likely in the area while the scene was worked. The crash is under investigation by Barnstable Police.
