ORLEANS – A construction crew struck a gas main in Orleans around 4:30 PM. The incident happened near the intersection of Main Street and Brewster Cross Road. Fire officials closed roads and evacuated businesses in the area until National Grid could arrive on scene. People were asked to avoid the area.
