Updated: Multi-vehicle crash on Route 6 eastbound in West Barnstable

WEST BARNSTABLE – A eight-vehicle crash was reported on Route 6 eastbound by exit 5 in West Barnstable shortly before 8 AM. West Barnstable Fire reports they treated 15 people, 6 of whom were taken to Cape Cod Hospital. All of the injuries were believed to be not-life-threatening. Ambulances from Centerville-Osterville-Marstons Mills, Barnstable, Sandwich and Hyannis responded to the scene. The crash is under investigation by Mass State Police. Traffic was being slowed in the area.
