BOURNE – A multi-vehicle crash was reported on Sandwich Road in Bourne around 12:30 PM Monday.
The crash happened by the Gallo Ice Arena and Weather Deck Road. Initial reports say 8 people were injured prompting a level 1 Mass Casualty Incident (MCI).
Two of the injuries were serious and rushed to Rhode Island Hospital’s trauma center. Sandwich Road is closed and motorists should use the Scenic Highway to travel along the canal. Mass State Police are investigating the crash. State Police posted that several of the victims were juveniles.
