EASTHAM – An Eastham man reportedly drowned at Thumpertown Beach in Eastham around 1 p.m. Bystanders pulled the victim from the water and performed CPR until EMTs arrived. The victim, Joseph Carti, 80, of Eastham was rushed by ambulance to Cape Cod Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Eastham Police are investigating the incident.
