PROVINCETOWN
– Provincetown Police report that on Sunday at 8:36 PM, officers along with Provincetown Fire responded to Route 6 & Provincelands Road near the entrance to Herring Cove Beach for a single vehicle crash. Upon police arrival, it was determined the lone male operator was unconscious and unresponsive.

Due to the impact, the doors of the vehicle were jammed shut.  Officers used their expandable batons to gain entry through passenger windows to render aid.

The operator was freed a short time later and was treated by EMS personnel. Due to inclement weather, the victim was transported to Cape Cod Hospital by ground ambulance.
