Video: Lightning likely cause of structure fire in Provincetown



PROVINCETOWN – Firefighters were called to the scene of a structure fire in Provincetown early Monday afternoon.The fire was reported on the roof of a condo building at 67-69 Howland Street. Fire officials believe a lightning strike sparked the blaze which was confined to the attic./ Firefighters had to open up ceilings to check for fire extension. There was also smoke and water damage. No injuries were reported. Mutual aid from Wellfleet and Orleans assisted at the scene while Eastham covered the Provincetown station. Howland Street was closed in the area due to apparatus and hoses in the roadway.
