NEW PHOTOS: Three alarm blaze tears through commercial garage on Route 6 in Wellfleet

WELLFLEET – Firefighters from several towns rushed to a structure fire in Wellfleet around 11 PM Sunday. The fire was reported at at 2318 Route 6. Wellfleet Assessors reports that property is owned by Harold McGinn DBA EZ-Doze-It excavating. Several explosions were reported. The fire quickly escalated to three alarms bring in mutual aid including tankers from across much of the Cape. Reports from the scene indicated that in addition to the structure, several vehicles and a pile of tires were burning. Water supply issues hampered initial efforts to fight the blaze. No injuries were reported. About 12:15 AM, the fire was reported to be contained but crews expected to remain on scene all night. The State Fire Marshal’s office was called to investigate the cause of the fire.
