SANDWICH -Two workers were seriously injured in a fall from a roof in Sandwich. The incident happened about 1 p.m. at 282 Phillips Road near Scusset Beach. Both Sandwich and Bourne rescuers rushed to the scene where the victims had reportedly fallen about 25 feet. One of the victims was taken to the Ella F. Hoxie School and flown by medical helicopter to Boston Medical Center. The second was rushed by ambulance to South Shore Hospital trauma center in Weymouth. Sandwich Police called for the Occupational Safety and Health Administration to investigate the incident.
