Brewster Fire, Brewster Police, and Eastham Fire Participate in Joint Active Shooter Drill

BREWSTER
From Brewster Fire: On Saturday January 5 approximately 60 members of the Brewster Fire Department, Brewster Police Department, and Eastham Fire Department participated in a classroom and hands-on based active shooter training program at the Eddy School in Brewster.

Four 45 minute morning classroom sessions consisted of the following instruction: Mass Casualty Incident, Stop the Bleed, Unified Command, and Rescue Task Force training. The afternoon program included three hands-on active shooter scenarios during which firefighters and police officers were me

This valuable training was conducted to ensure the members of the Brewster Fire and Police Departments and their mutual aid partners are readily able to respond to and operate at an incident of this type in a cohesive, coordinated, and proficient manner.
The Brewster Fire and Police Department would like to thank the Nauset Regional Schools for use of their facility and the following individuals for providing expert instruction throughout the day.
