BREWSTER – From Brewster Fire: On Saturday July 13 at 10:32 a.m. Brewster Fire/Rescue was dispatched to a reported motor vehicle fire in Nickerson State Park. Squad 241 and Engine 234 under the direction of Captain Dan Kimball responded to the location and on arrival found a van fully involved in fire with a ruptured fuel tank. Firefighters immediately stretched a 1 ¾ attack line from Squad 241 to extinguish the fire and the burning fuel. Due to the quick actions of the responding members the fire was confined to the van and a small area of brush.
