JOINT BASE CAPE COD – Joint Base firefighters responded to a 3 acre brush fire today on the range. Joint Base breaker 408 and Bourne Breaker 129 worked in concert to get ahead of the fire and put a quick stop to it before it spread to a nearby extremely rocky and hilly area that would of made extinguishing the fire significantly more difficult. Firefighters received mutual aid from Bourne and Mashpee providing a tanker and coverage for the rest of the base.
