Car crashes into Eastham restaurant

EASTHAM
– On Saturday at approximately 1:43 PM, the Eastham Police Department and Eastham Fire department were dispatched to the Sea Toller Plaza (4205 State Highway [Route 6]) for a report of a motor vehicle that had crashed into the Box Lunch restaurant.

Upon arrival Eastham officer’s observed a Subaru Forester wagon that had struck the east side of the building and came to rest with its front end inside the restaurant. A preliminary investigation showed that the driver, a 92-year-old male, had struck a parked vehicle and jumped a walkway before striking the building.

Eastham Rescue evaluated the two occupants of the Subaru, as well as a restaurant worker. All three parties were released with no reported injuries.

At this time the accident is still under investigation by the Eastham Police Department. The Orleans Fire Department, National Grid, and the Eastham Building Inspector assisted at the scene.
