BREWSTER – A car fire stalled the morning commute along the “alley” section of Route 6. The fire happened on the eastbound side just east of Exit 11 shortly after 8:30 AM Monday. Eastbound traffic was stopped while firefighters battled the flames. Westbound traffic was at a crawl. No injuries were reported.
