– The Falmouth Police Department reports that at approximately 11:47 p.m. Friday a call came in reporting a vehicle submerged in Child’s River at the White’s Landing boat ramp.  Falmouth Fire Rescue units including a Zodiac boat and members of the dive team responded a few minutes later.

Divers determined there were no occupants in the vehicle and attached a cable from a tow truck to the 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The tow truck was able to winch the Jeep out of the water.
According to Falmouth Police, the vehicle was reported stolen from Main Street in Barnstable shortly after midnight on September 26.
The crash and theft of the vehicle are under investigation.
