HARWICH – A car went over the guardrail around 8 AM Friday morning. The crash happened on eastbound exit 11 offramp from Route 6 to Route 137. All occupants were able to get out of the vehicle. One person was evaluated but declined to go to the hospital. The crash is under investigation by State Police.
A short time later at about 8:20 AM, MA State Police and Harwich Fire-Rescue were dispatched to Route 6 WB in area of Mile Marker 80 for a reported 2 car crash with injuries. Due to the location, an automatic line response from Dennis Fire was also initiated. First Responders found a Mitsubishi Outlander SUV and a Chrysler 300 sedan had been involved in a rear end collision and were located on the westbound shoulder. Harwich and Dennis Medics evaluated a total of 4 parties including an infant, obtaining refusals from all. Westbound traffic was moving, but slowed significantly while the scene was worked. MA State Police is in charge of the investigation.
