BARNSTABLE – About 10:10 a.m. on Mary Dunn Road near Dromoland Lane a Ford Focus coupe struck a tree, knocked over a fire hydrant and ended up on it roof with the tree on top of it. The driver was able to get out of the vehicle and was taken to Cape Cod Hospital for evaluation. Mary Dunn Road was closed in both directions until the scene was cleared. The crash is under investigation by Barnstable Police.
