NANTUCKET – Nantucket Police report that at approximately 9:05 AM, a vehicle struck the building at Cyrus Peirce Middle School on Surfside Road. It appears that the operator of the vehicle had a medical event. There are no injuries or any threat to students or staff at this time. The classroom was empty at the time of the accident. The Building Department has deemed the building structurally sound. The Nantucket Police Crash Reconstruction Unit will be investigating this case.
