WAREHAM – From Wareham Police: On Tuesday, March 12, at 10:15 p.m. officers responded to Cranberry Highway near Red Brook Road for a report of a motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian. While investigating the incident it appeared that the female who was struck had an active warrant for her arrest from Wichita, Kansas. The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office in Kansas was contacted and confirmed the warrant. Rachel O’Donoghue, 38, of East Wareham, was arrested by Officers Justin Silveira and Blaise Lalli, and transported to Tobey Hospital under police guard. After treatment for minor injuries she brought to the police station and held without bail pending a court appearance on Wednesday morning. Ms. O’Donoghue was charged with being a fugitive from justice on a court warrant.
