SANDWICH – A car struck a utility pole in Sandwich shortly before 8 PM Wednesday. The crash happened on Harlow Road near Greenway Circle. The driver was not seriously injured but the pole was snapped and live wires came down sparking a small fire. About 400 Eversource customers lost power in the area. Utility crews were responding to make repairs. Harlow Road was closed in the area. The crash is under investigation by Sandwich Police.
