CHATHAM – A car struck a utility pole in Harwich shortly after noon Friday. The crash happened on Old Harbor Road (Route 28) near Barcliff Avenue. Two people were taken to Cape Cod Hospital with unknown injuries. Chatham Police advised that Route 28 was closed from Barcliff Avenue to Orleans Road until utility crews could arrive and motorists should seek alternate routes. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
