Change your clocks, change your smoke detector batteries

CAPE COD
– Daylight savings times resumes at 2 a.m. Sunday. Set clocks ahead one hour before going to bed tonight. Don’t forget to change the batteries in your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. Massachusetts has already seen 19 deaths from residential fires this year. State Fire Marshal Peter J. Ostroskey says a common theme in the fires is the lack of working smoke detectors. Make sure you have working smoke detectors on all levels of your home. No one plans to have a fire but it can happen anytime anywhere. The precious minutes a smoke detector can save you can be the difference in getting out safely.
