CHATHAM
– Saturday, the participants of the 2016 Citizens Police Academy were recognized for their commitment to the 9-week program held recently. The “graduates” are pictured here with Chief Mark Pawlina and Sergeant Bill Massey.

The Citizens Police Academy is a program for citizens and business owners to get an inside look at policing in Chatham. Topics include Constitutional and criminal law, traffic enforcement, ethics, crash investigation, drugs and narcotics, use of force, domestic violence and many other areas of law enforcement.

We appreciate their commitment to learning about the police department in their community and look forward to another academy in January 2017.
