CHATHAM – Chief Mark Pawlina would like to recognize some exemplary work performed by members of the Chatham Police Department recently.
The first recognition is for Sergeant William Massey and Detective Lou Malzone. Their dedication, effort and good police work led to the identification and arrest of two suspects who committed numerous break-ins into homes in Chatham. Because of their efforts, this disruptive and alarming activity has been ended.
The second recognition is for Officer Joseph Amara who performed medical assistance on a citizen who became seriously injured with a significant laceration and blood loss. Officer Amara’s quick actions brought the situation under control until fire department personnel could arrive to assist the patient further.
