Chatham Police investigate series of B&Es

CHATHAM – The Chatham Police Department is currently investigating a series of recent residential housebreaks. Homeowners have reported forced entry into their residences and property taken. The most common property taken has been electronic devices. These housebreaks have occurred recently and have occurred in the following neighborhoods:

Crowell Road Hitching Post Road
Heritage Lane Highland Ave.
Kendrick Harvest Road

Police remind residents to keep their homes secured, and (if equipped), their home security systems activated. They encourage residents to be observant in their neighborhoods and report any suspicious persons, vehicles and activity to the police department. Anyone with information regarding this criminal activity can call the Chatham Police Department, Detective Louis Malzone at 508-945-1213. Anyone who wishes to remain anonymous can call the Chatham Police Tip Line at 508-945-TTIP (8847).
