Chatham Police officers praised for recent incidents

CHATHAM – Chatham Police Chief Mark Pawlina would like to acknowledge two Chatham Police Officers who recently received letters of praise from Chatham citizens:

1) Sergeant Andrew Goddard received a kind letter from Chatham citizen Nancy Oliver, who praised Sergeant Goddard for his assistance to her as she had found herself without transportation and had a time sensitive issue she needed help with. Sergeant Goddard made arrangements for her to take care of her situation and assist her with some transportation.

2) Officer Christopher Vardakis received a letter of praise from citizen Bob Bartlett for the officer’s efforts and asistance with some family members and friends at a recent event. Officer Vardakis, while working a private detail, was extremely helpful with assisting some senior citizens who were infirmed during the event.
