POCASSET – A child in a kayak ran into trouble off Pocasset around 4 PM Thursday afternoon. The victim, who was reportedly not wearing a life jacket was pickup up by a Good Samaritan and brought to shore. He was evaluated by EMTs as a precaution.
Sometime after 4:30 PM. a report came in of a child on a raft getting carried out from East Sandwich Beach off North Shore Boulevard. Bystanders were able to reach the child and get him back to shore where EMTs were waiting to evaluate him. Further details were not immediately available.
