HYANNIS – On Friday just before 10:00 PM, Barnstable Police, along with the Hyannis Fire Department, were called to the The Cape Codder Resort & Spa on Iyannough Road (Route 132) after a 7-year-old male fell into a fire pit. The young boy sustained what appeared to be second and third degree burns to both arms. Due to inclement weather, MedFlight operations were unavailable and the child was transported by ambulance to Boston Children’s Hospital. The cause of the fall remains under investigation.
