PROVINCETOWN – A child was seriously injured in a bicycle accident in Provincetown Friday afternoon. The incident happened around 1:45 PM on the Provincelands Bike Trail near Herring Cove in the Cape Cod National Seashore. The victim, an approximately 12 year old boy, reportedly suffered injuries to his abdomen and ankle.
Rescuers called for a MedFlight helicopter to meet the ambulance at the field behind the Eastham Fire Station. U.S. Park Rangers are investigating the accident.
