CHATHAM – Two commercial striped bass fishing boats collided Monday just off the Chatham bar.
Chatham Harbormaster Stuart Smith said the fisherman on board a 20-foot boat jumped into the water just before the collision with a 23-foot vessel. He was plucked from the water by the crew on the other boat.
There were no injuries and the weather was mostly clear at the time.
Smith said his department and the Massachusetts Environmental Police are investigating the collision
